Another very warm and sunny day at the Wanborough show 2026, as well as the main marquee display we had a gazebo for a workshop which the visitors found interesting. Unfortunately a sudden gust of wind destroyed the gazebo but at least the trees survived. Sorry that my photography couldn’t cope with the very strong sun in the marquee as it was behind the trees, but it gives an idea of the tree display. A huge thanks to all who made this a great day enjoyed by a large amount of visitors.

Another lovely club trip to David Cheshire Nursery at Mill Hill, Baginton, near Coventry. CV8 3AG. Even the weather was on our side. A quick look at the main display area and then David gave us a guided tour of the ‘out of bounds’ growing areas……… in fact I think that Barry is STILL ferreting around there, looking for the best ones……….. https://www.davidcheshirenurseries.co.uk/

I think that everyone came home with a few purchases………. some more than others HAHA. Of course a visit isn’t a visit without lunch in the ‘Potting Shed’ and even the ladies managed to pick up some plants at the two joining garden centres. Our thanks go to David for taking the time to show us around and answering all the questions. We will of course see David at our December [Xmas] meeting which is a social with partners, wives and significant others……… We do employ a distraction system when members are making purchases and doesn’t want the boss to know what they are buying.
